Complete Streets, Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans
The Chester County Planning Commission works with municipalities to address improve pedestrian linkages and public transportation access and experience within the County. Improvements to pedestrian facilities provide County residents with an array of benefits from improved health to economic development and are a priority initiative identified in Landscapes2. Multi-Use Trail Plans
CCPC partners with municipalities and other organizations to facilitate the construction of planned trails within the county. West Chester Pike Coalition
West Chester Pike/Pennsylvania Route 3 is one of the region's most important transportation and economic corridors. The West Chester Pike Coalition is a group of corridor stakeholders that has emerged from recent planning efforts along West Chester Pike. Both Chester and Delaware county staff have taken an active role in organizing and leading this coalition, which includes representatives from SEPTA, PennDOT, TMACC, DCTMA, corridor municipalities, and local economic development agencies. County-Wide Planning Policies
Landscapes3 is the comprehensive plan for Chester County, and renews the county's commitment to balancing growth and preservation to foster vibrant communities. Landscapes3 is organized around six goal areas: Preserve, Protect, Appreciate, Live, Prosper, and Connect, and addresses land use, growth, and preservation as part of the Landscapes Map. Transportation is addressed primarily within the Connect goal area of Landscapes3, with additional discussion as part of the Landscapes Map and within Prosper.
