Reinvestment Strategies and Tools
Chester County is projected to see rapid population and employment growth in the coming years. Encouraging reinvestment to areas that already have supportive infrastructure will help to balance the need for new development with preservation of open space. The Reinvestment Strategies and Tools identify strategies and tools that municipalities can utilize to encourage reinvestment to occur in appropriate locations within growth areas identified in Landscapes3.
Development Opportunity Sites
The Chester County Planning Commission has coordinated with partners to create interactive maps that identify current development opportunity sites in strategic areas. Development opportunity sites are shown below for the City of Coatesville, the Route 724 area, and the Route 1 area.
