As another initiative that supports the "Connect" goal in Landscapes3, the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the regionally agreed-upon list of priority transportation projects for the southeastern PA region, as required by federal law and adopted by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).

The TIP is updated every two years, and includes roadway, bridge, public transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and freight related transportation projects. It shows the estimated costs and schedule of a project, which is financially constrained based on the amount of formulaic funding available for the region.

For an overview of the TIP, including how it was developed and how you can become involved, see DVRPC's TIP Handbook.
