Chester County government hosted more than 90 children of county staff members as part of Take Your Child to Work Day on April 27. The kids, who ranged from ages 6-16, learned about CCPC and other county departments, toured the 9-1-1 Center, played "Disease Detectives" with the Health Department, and had their fingerprints taken by county Detectives, among other activities!

During CCPC's portion of the day, the children were taught about the different aspects of planning led by CCPC's Senior Community Planner, Mark Gallant. They also got to experience a first-hand view from a drone thanks to CCPC's Community Planner, Joe Shanley. CCPC's Technical Services Specialist, Richard Drake, was on-deck during the event to talk about the drone and answer any questions. Check out the drone video.

Additionally, CCPC's Heritage Preservation Coordinator, Laura DeMatteo, provided the children with some fun facts about the county's historic farmhouse, which is located on the Government Services Center property.

Overall, it was an exciting and informative day for those who attended, and we look forward to hosting Take Your Child To Work Day again next year! Thanks to those who participated.
