2024 VPP Round 2 Recipients
Posted November 14, 2024
Congratulations to the second round of recipients for Chester County's 2024 Vision Partnership Program!
Just like the first round (announced in May), we can't wait to see these exciting projects unfold. They include:
Borough of Downingtown's Study for Comprehensive Parking Plan — With a growing population as well as housing, businesses, and visitors, this study will help address the need for additional parking in the Borough of Downingtown to ensure they meet the needs of those who live or visit. This includes all areas, especially along their Main Street corridor where most shops and restaurants are located. The project is anticipated to cost nearly $73,000, with $30,000 coming from the VPP and the rest provided by the municipality.
East Pikeland Township's Park, Recreation, Open Spaces and Trails Plan — This plan will serve as a tool to help the Township's plan for open space acquisition, trail and park expansion, and facility improvements. With the VPP providing $25,000, as well as a DCNR Planning Grant of $25,000 and a PECO Green Region Grant for $10,000, the Township will provide $15,000 to complete the project's total anticipated cost of $75,000.
Honey Brook Township and Honey Brook Borough's Multiple Municipal Comprehensive Plan Update — For this multi-municipal project, the Township will serve as the lead to update their current Comprehensive Plan, which was last updated in 2015. The VPP will provide $42,000 towards the update, with the two municipalities covering the final $28,000 to reach the project's total anticipated cost of $70,000.
If your municipality has a project in mind, we encourage you to reach out to our VPP Grant Administrator, Bambi Griffin Rivera, for information about the next round of VPP funding!
