East Vincent

We're excited to announce the round one recipients of the 2025 Chester County Vision Partnership Program! Cash grants will be awarded to the following municipalities to complete plans, studies, ordinance updates, and other projects that support Landscapes3, including:

East Vincent Township's Corridor Study

This study will analyze the existing conditions, including zoning, signalized intersections, and pedestrian infrastructure of a three mile stretch of State Route 724 in East Vincent Township. This analysis will allow the Township to create goals, recommendations, and strategies — including pedestrian safety improvements — to revitalize the corridor and create a strong sense of place. The study will cost a total of $50,000 with $30,000 from the VPP, and $20,000 from the Township.

London Britain

London Britain Township's Open Space, Recreation and Environmental Resources Plan (OSRER)

The creation of this plan will serve to increase protected farmland, expand the network of protected open space, engage restoration and stewardship, support open space policies and ordinances, and expand recreational opportunities within London Britain Township. The OSRER will replace the Township's 1993 plan. The effort will cost a total of $65,000 to complete, with $39,000 coming from the VPP and $26,000 from the Township.

Pennsbury

Pennsbury Township's Comprehensive Plan Update

The Township will update their 2006 Comprehensive Plan to be consistent with the County's Comprehensive Plan, Landscapes3; comply with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code; reflect on successfully implemented accomplishments; and recognize new challenges. The Comprehensive Plan Update will continue to build a sustainable and resilient community. The plan update will cost a total of $73,500, with $44,100 in VPP funds and $29,400 from the Township.

Valley

Valley Township's Zoning Ordinance Update

The Township will complete selected updates of their Zoning Ordinance based upon recent housing and environmental trends, along with recurring shortcomings identified in zoning, land use, and associated permit applications. The updates will support the implementation of their recently completed Lincoln Highway Corridor Study. The ordinance updates will cost a total of $32,000 with $19,200 from the VPP and $12,800 from the Township.

In addition to these recipients, the VPP Rolling Mini-Grant Program (a separate program) will award a grant to East Nottingham Township to develop and adopt an official map and ordinance to support the Township's open space preservation efforts. This includes $5,547 in VPP Mini-Grant funding, along with $3,698 from the Township to complete the total project cost of $9,245.

We look forward to seeing these various efforts unfold!
